Mouth Examination
A dental exam is a checkup of your teeth and gums. The oral examination comprises a uniform and consistent inspection of the head and neck and an intraoral evaluation of the hard and soft tissues (see the images below) in conjunction with a thorough medical and dental history.

Oral Prophylaxis (Cleaning)
An oral prophylaxis is a dental procedure that is performed to help reduce the risk of gum and tooth disease. Also known simply as a prophylaxis or prophy, this dental procedure is recommended to be taken every six months or yearly, depending on a patient’s history.

Root Canal Treatment
A root canal therapy is a treatment to repair and save a badly damaged or infected tooth. The procedure involves removing the damaged area of the tooth (the pulp), cleaning and disinfecting it and then filling and sealing it.

Flexible and High Impact Dentures
A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissues. There are two types of dentures available, complete and partial dentures.

Jacket Crown and Fixed Bridge
Dental crown or bridges are an natural looking option to replace missing tooth or teeth. A bridge is fixed in your mouth so you don’t have to worry about it falling while you are speaking or laughing.

Periapical X-Rays
Periapical X-rays show the whole tooth — from the crown, to beyond the root where the tooth attaches into the jaw. Each periapical X-ray shows all teeth in one portion of either the upper or lower jaw.

Oral Surgery
Oral surgery refers to any surgical procedure performed on your teeth, gums, jaws or other oral structures. This includes extractions, implants, gum grafts and jaw surgeries. Oral surgery is usually performed by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon or a periodontist.

Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening done in the dental office is the most effective and safest way to whiten the teeth. A whitening solution will be applied to your teeth followed by an exposure to light that will enhance the whitening process.

Periodontal Treatment (Guam Treatment)
Visiting with a qualified Periodontist is the very best way to begin treatment. The dentist will use a scaler to remove all of the excess bacteria from the deep gum pockets. Many dentists also prescribe antibiotics as well.

Sealant and Fluoride Application
Fluoride’s primary benefit is that it helps prevent tooth decay. It can also reverse erosion that has already taken place. If plaque forms on the teeth and eats away at the enamel, fluoride treatments can replace the minerals in the enamel that have eroded.

Orthodontic Treatment
Orthodontics is a dental specialty focused on aligning your bite and straightening your teeth. You might need to see an orthodontist if you have crooked, overlapped, twisted or gapped teeth. Common orthodontic treatments include traditional braces, clear aligners and removable retainers.

Light Cure Restoration
A dental curing light is a piece of dental equipment that is used for polymerization of light-cure resin-based composites. It can be used on several different dental materials that are curable by light. The light used falls under the visible blue light spectrum.
